We do not want you to be uninformed, brothers and sisters, about the troubles we experienced in the province of Asia. We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired of life itself.  Indeed, we felt we had received the sentence of death. But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead. He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us again. On him we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us, as you help us by your prayers. Then many will give thanks on our behalf for the gracious favor granted us in answer to the prayers of many.  1 Corinthians 1:8-11
Before Freedom’s Healing entered Poipet, fellow team members who had previously ventured to this place warned us of the darkness surrounding this city. When we first arrived, the spiritual warfare present within the city became very tangible. The government here was trying to make it difficult for us to hold a medical clinic for the reason of exerting control and showing their power, nothing else. We all prayed that the Lord would use this obstacle for His glory. We prayed that the Lord would soften the hearts of the government officials, and that the Lord would make a connection within the govenment for Perlito .
While waiting for Perlito to obtain the permit and speak with the government officials, the Lord revealed His faithfulness, and His promises. There is so much comfort in the knowledge that We, as Christians, are victorious in the end. So regardles of the outcome of this obstacle, the eternal battle is already won. We don’t have to do anything but Trust in Him. He will deliver on His promises; and, He will carry us through the journey He has set before us.
With that said, God delivered a great blessing to us in Poipet. We were able to conduct medical clinics with the proper permits, and Perlito was able to have a long awaited meeting with some of the government officials in the city of Poipet. God’s blessings know no bounds here.
Rose and Perlito’s faithfulness to God’s calling is inspiring. God’s work in Poipet is so evident. I truly feel that the Holy Spirit’s radiant light has broken through the darkness of this city.
     To Rose and Perlito,
“I have great confidence in you; I take great pride in you.  I am greatly encouraged; in all our troubles my joy knows no bounds.” 2 Corinthians 7:4
     Thank you for following Him.
