“For every thousand striking at the leaves of evil, one is striking at the root.”
We are passionate about striking the root of human trafficking by developing strong communities and reaching the forgotten and those oppressed by injustice. One of our community development pillars is educating the youth of Cambodia.
In 2010 we began a project to provide supplemental education to help students who had fallen behind in school. We are tremendously excited to announce Freedom’s Promise first graduating class. 13 of our students recently sat for their final state exams and all 13 passed!
Each plans to attend university and they have all been awarded a “scholarship” to do so. In the Cambodian university system, once students are finished with school they are required to pay back 50% of their scholarship to help fund more scholarships for new students.
Congratulations students! We are so proud of you and look forward to the impact you will have on your communities in the years to come. – FP staff, board & donors.
